1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how BreachNews.com, operated by Techsploit, LLC, collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Service.
2. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password. Payment information is processed by third-party payment providers and is not stored directly by BreachNews.
Search and Monitoring Inputs
We process identifiers you submit for breach searches or monitoring, such as email addresses. These inputs are used to query our breach index and are not added to the index unless already present due to prior breach inclusion.
Technical and Security Information
When using the public lookup tool without an account, we may collect limited technical data including the submitted search identifier, IP address, browser type or headers, and timestamps. This information is used solely to operate the service, prevent abuse, and maintain platform security.
For authenticated users of the Service, we do not log individual search contents, IP addresses, or detailed browser information. We only record aggregate usage metrics, such as the number of searches performed, for rate limiting, billing, and abuse prevention purposes.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to operate the Service, deliver breach alerts, prevent abuse, maintain security, and improve platform functionality. We do not sell personal information.
4. Breach Data Sources
Our breach index is built from publicly available breach disclosures, leak announcements, and lawfully obtained datasets. BreachNews does not provide downloadable breach dumps or redistribute full raw datasets.
5. Data Sharing
We share limited information with trusted third-party service providers, such as payment processors and hosting providers, strictly as required to operate the Service.
We may disclose information if required by law or to protect against fraud, abuse, or security threats.
6. Data Retention and Security
Account information is retained while your account is active. Monitoring inputs are retained only while monitoring is enabled.
All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. No system is completely secure, and users are responsible for protecting their account credentials.
7. Cookies and Analytics
We may use basic cookies or similar technologies to ensure the Service functions properly and to understand general usage patterns. These technologies are not used to sell or profile personal data.
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Additional details may be provided in the future as features evolve.
8. Your Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal account information by contacting support@breachnews.com.
Requests to remove breach-index data must be submitted through the designated removal request process described in the Terms of Service.
9. Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
