A forum post claims IMCO Group’s US and European operations were breached and that more than 250 TB of data was stolen.

A threat actor has claimed responsibility for an alleged cyberattack targeting IMCO Group, asserting that it gained access to sensitive systems supporting the company’s operations in the United States and Europe.

According to a forum post published on July 24, the actor claims to have exfiltrated more than 250 TB of data, including engineering documents, employee information, CCTV footage, and files described as relating to U.S. Department of Defense contracts.

BreachNews has not independently verified the authenticity of the claims, the reported volume of data, or the alleged compromise.

Claim centers on US and European operations

In the post, the threat actor claimed to have accessed “major sensitive sections” of IMCO Group’s operations in the United States and Europe before extracting what was described as a large volume of confidential information.

The actor alleges the stolen data includes:

  • CCTV images and video from the company’s U.S. operations
  • Confidential corporate documents
  • Engineering blueprints
  • Confidential employee information relating to the company’s U.S. and European operations
  • Documents allegedly associated with U.S. Department of Defense contracts

The post further claims that more than 250 TB of information was obtained. If accurate, that would represent an exceptionally large volume of data. However, BreachNews has not independently confirmed the amount allegedly stolen.

The actor also published links to what were described as proof-of-concept archives intended to demonstrate possession of the alleged data. The post stated the archives contained sample material relating to IMCO Group’s U.S. and European operations. BreachNews has not reviewed or verified the contents of those files.

Engineering data and defense contracts allegedly exposed

IMCO Group develops defense and industrial technologies used across aerospace, land, naval, and homeland security sectors. The company maintains operations in multiple countries, including the United States and Europe, supporting defense and industrial customers with electronic systems, power solutions, vehicle protection technologies, and other specialized products.

If verified, the alleged theft of engineering documentation, employee information, CCTV recordings, or defense-related contract material could present significant intellectual property, operational security, and national security concerns. At this stage, however, there is no independent evidence confirming that any of the claimed data categories were accessed or exfiltrated.

Questions remain over scope and authenticity

At the time of publication, IMCO Group had not issued any public statement regarding the alleged breach or confirmed that any of its systems had been compromised.

It is also unclear whether any government agencies or law enforcement organizations are investigating the claims.
